It is water-resistant, but it is not intended to be a fully waterproof rain jacket.
Locate the designated pocket and turn it inside out to stuff the jacket into it, following the manufacturer's internal instructions.
This refers to the quality and loft of the down insulation; 700-fill indicates high-quality, lightweight warmth.
The 1996 Retro Nuptse has a naturally boxy, oversized fit consistent with the original 90s aesthetic.
It provides excellent warmth for general cold weather but should be layered appropriately for extreme, sub-zero conditions.
Tumble dry on low heat with dryer balls to fluff the down feathers.
This is normal for down jackets; do not pull them. Gently pull the feather back into the jacket from the inside to close the puncture hole.
To maximize the life of your 1996 Retro Nuptse, store it in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid compressing the jacket for long periods to preserve the down's loft. For cleaning, it is recommended to use a front-loading washing machine on a gentle cycle with a down-specific detergent. Always tumble dry on low heat with clean tennis balls or dryer balls to help redistribute the down feathers and prevent clumping. Ensure the jacket is completely dry before storage to prevent mildew or odor.
