Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your laceless Predator Elite boots is straightforward:
- Preparation: Ensure your feet are dry. It can sometimes be easier to put them on with thin socks first, then switch to your preferred playing socks if needed.
- Pull On: Hold the heel tab and the tongue (or collar opening) and slide your foot in. The Primeknit collar will stretch to accommodate your foot.
- Secure Fit: Once your foot is fully in, the boot should feel snug and secure around your midfoot and heel. There should be minimal movement, but no uncomfortable pressure points. The laceless design relies on this precise fit.
Compatibility
- Surface: These boots are exclusively designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are relatively dry and firm.
- Avoid: Using FG boots on artificial grass (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor courts will lead to suboptimal performance, increased wear on the boots, and potential injury risks.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning after use: Immediately after playing, wipe off any mud or debris with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush.
- Gentle Washing: Do not machine wash. If necessary, hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh detergents or chemicals that can damage the synthetic materials and Strikeskin elements.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (e.g., radiators, hairdryers), as this can cause the materials to crack or warp.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. You can stuff them with newspaper or shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
- Strikeskin Care: Gently clean the rubber fins to ensure they remain free of dirt, which could impede their grip performance.
