Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Breaking In: While laceless boots offer an immediate snug fit, it's recommended to wear them for a few short sessions before a full match. This allows the materials to fully adapt to your foot's unique shape and minimizes discomfort.
- Putting On: Gently stretch the Primeknit collar to slide your foot in. Ensure your heel is properly seated in the boot's heel counter for maximum stability.
- Fit Check: The laceless design means the fit is crucial. The boot should feel snug, like a second skin, without any excessive pressure points or heel slippage. Walk around and perform light dynamic movements to confirm the fit.
Compatibility
- Surface: These boots are designed exclusively for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This includes natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp.
- Avoid: Using FG boots on artificial turf (AG) can lead to premature stud wear and can also be uncomfortable or increase the risk of injury. Avoid using them on soft, muddy ground (SG) as they will lack sufficient traction.
- User: Optimized for adult male players, UK size 10.5.
- Composition: Upper/Lining: Synthetic. Sole: Textile.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after playing, knock off any loose dirt. Use a soft brush (a toothbrush works well) to gently remove mud and debris from the upper and soleplate. For stubborn dirt, wipe with a damp cloth.
- Washing: Avoid using washing machines or harsh detergents. If necessary, use a mild soap and lukewarm water with a soft cloth to clean the synthetic upper. Rinse with a damp cloth.
- Drying: Never dry boots using direct heat sources like radiators, heaters, or direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives. Instead, stuff the boots with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and maintain their shape, then air dry at room temperature.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. A boot bag can protect them from dust and scratches.
- Deodorizing: To prevent odors, consider using boot deodorizers or placing dryer sheets inside when storing.
