Product Information

Full details

The HOMCOM 12L Sensor Bin in Black is designed for households seeking an effortless and hygienic kitchen clean-up solution. Its primary benefit is the dual-mode smart opening system, offering both hands-free infrared sensing and manual touch control for ultimate convenience. A potential caveat is its 12L capacity, which may require more frequent emptying in high-traffic kitchens. Key features include automatic touchless motion sensing, a manual override button, a sleek black design, a removable inner bucket, and a bag-retainer ring for a tidy appearance.

FAQs

What type of batteries does the HOMCOM 12L Sensor Bin use?

The bin typically requires 2x AA batteries, which are not usually included with the purchase.

How do I clean the sensor mechanism?

Gently wipe the sensor area with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the sensor.

Can I use any size trash bag?

It is designed for standard 12-liter trash bags. Using significantly larger or smaller bags may affect performance and fit.

What is the purpose of the bag-retainer ring?

The bag-retainer ring helps to secure the trash bag in place, preventing it from slipping down into the bin and providing a cleaner look around the rim.

How far does the sensor need to be to activate?

The infrared sensor typically activates when an object or hand is within a few inches (approximately 5-15 cm) of the sensor.

Is the inner bucket waterproof?

The inner bucket is designed to hold trash and is generally water-resistant for easy cleaning. However, it is not intended for prolonged submersion or holding liquids.

What is the warranty period for this product?

Warranty information can vary. Please refer to the product packaging or the retailer's website for specific warranty details.

Troubleshooting

Sensor not opening the lid

Check battery levels and ensure they are correctly inserted. Clean the sensor eye. Make sure there are no obstructions directly in front of the sensor. Try using the manual touch button.

Lid does not close automatically

Ensure there are no obstructions preventing the lid from closing. Check battery strength. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

Manual touch button is unresponsive

Check the battery power. Ensure the button mechanism is not stuck or damaged. Try removing and reinserting batteries.

Inner bucket is difficult to remove or insert

Ensure the trash bag is not caught on the edges of the bucket or retainer ring. Empty the bucket completely if it is full or heavy.
