Product Information

Full details

This HOMCOM 12L Sensor Bin in White is designed for anyone seeking a cleaner, more hygienic kitchen experience. Its key benefit is the dual-mode smart opening, offering both hands-free infrared sensing and manual touch control for ultimate convenience. A potential caveat is the 12L capacity, which may require more frequent emptying in high-traffic areas. The bin features a compact design suitable for modern kitchens, a removable inner bucket for easy cleaning, and a bag-retainer ring for a tidy appearance.

FAQs

How do I activate the manual override?

Simply press the touch button located on the lid to open or close the bin manually.

What type of batteries does it use?

The bin typically requires AA or AAA batteries (check product manual for specific type), which are not included.

How far away do I need to be for the sensor to work?

The optimal sensing range is usually between 15-20 cm, but this can vary slightly. It's best to keep your hand directly above the sensor.

Can I use any trash bag with this bin?

Yes, it is compatible with standard 12L trash bags. The bag-retainer ring helps to keep the bag edges neatly tucked.

How do I clean the sensor?

Gently wipe the sensor area with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure it is dry before operating the bin.

What is the warranty period for this product?

Please refer to the product packaging or the manufacturer's official website for detailed warranty information, as it can vary.

Troubleshooting

Lid does not open automatically.

Ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient power. Check that the sensor area is clean and unobstructed. Make sure your hand is within the sensor's range.

Lid opens unexpectedly.

Check for environmental factors that might be triggering the sensor (e.g., strong light, airflow). Ensure the manual touch button is not stuck.

Manual touch button is unresponsive.

Verify that the batteries are correctly installed and functional. Ensure the lid mechanism is not jammed.

Bin smells are noticeable.

Ensure the lid is closing properly. Empty the bin regularly and clean the inner bucket. Consider using odor-absorbing trash bags.
