Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Birkenstock Boston Clogs require minimal setup. Simply adjust the metal buckle strap to achieve a comfortable and secure fit that holds your foot gently but firmly. It's recommended to wear them for short periods initially to allow the footbed to slowly mold to the unique contours of your feet.
Compatibility
These clogs feature a unisex design suitable for adults. They pair well with various casual outfits, from jeans and trousers to shorts and dresses. Their timeless aesthetic ensures they remain a staple in many wardrobes. As a classic design, they are compatible with most casual environments.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your Birkenstock Boston Clogs:
- Oiled Nubuck Leather Upper: To clean, gently brush off loose dirt with a soft brush (a nubuck brush works best). For stains, lightly rub with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning or conditioning, use products specifically designed for oiled nubuck or pull-up leather. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive water, which can damage the leather and affect its natural oils.
- Suede Footbed Liner: If the suede footbed becomes dirty, you can use a specific suede brush or a damp cloth with a mild soap solution. Allow it to air dry completely away from direct heat. Regular brushing can help lift dirt and restore the nap.
- Cork Footbed: Keep the cork footbed dry. If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally. To protect the cork from drying out and cracking, you can apply a thin layer of cork sealer periodically. Avoid exposing the cork to direct sunlight or extreme heat for prolonged periods.
- EVA Sole: The EVA sole can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store your clogs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Stuffing them lightly with tissue paper can help maintain their shape.
Important: Do not machine wash or immerse your clogs in water, as this can severely damage the materials.
