Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- First Fit: When first trying on your boots, ensure they fit snugly but comfortably. The knitted collar should hug your ankle without feeling restrictive.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing techniques to find what provides the most secure and comfortable fit for your foot shape. Ensure laces are tied tightly to prevent slipping.
- Break-in Period: Like most football boots, the SKX Elite may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow the materials to adapt to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This includes natural grass pitches that are dry and firm. Using them on artificial grass (AG), soft ground (SG), or extremely hard ground may reduce performance, increase wear, and could potentially lead to injury.
Care
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, wipe off any mud or dirt with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can be used.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape.
- Product Label: Always refer to the product label inside the boots for specific care instructions provided by Skechers.
