Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Puma FUTURE 7 ULTIMATE boots feature a mid-cut slip-on construction, allowing for flexible wear. You can choose to wear them traditionally with laces for a custom-tightened fit, or you can opt for a laceless setup, relying on the FUZIONFIT360 upper to provide a secure, adaptive compression fit. To put them on, simply slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated in the micro-perforated heel padding. If using laces, tighten them evenly for optimal support.
Compatibility
These boots are equipped with an FG/AG outsole, making them highly versatile. This means they are suitable for use on:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm and dry.
- Artificial Ground (AG): Specifically designed for 4G artificial grass surfaces. Using these boots on other surface types (like 2G or 3G artificial turf, or very soft, muddy natural grass) may impact performance and potentially void warranties.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning after use: After each match or training session, gently brush off loose dirt and mud from the upper and outsole. Use a damp cloth with mild soap (if needed) to wipe down the surfaces. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.
- Drying: Never place your boots near direct heat sources (like radiators or in direct sunlight) as this can damage the materials. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry naturally in a cool, well-ventilated area.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. Consider using a boot bag to protect them during transport.
- Sockliner: Periodically remove the NanoGrip sockliner and clean it separately with mild soap and water, allowing it to air dry completely before reinserting.
