Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use & Fit
Upon first wearing your Puma FUTURE 7 ULTIMATE FG/AG boots, you'll notice the mid-cut slip-on construction. While designed for a snug fit, you can wear these boots with or without laces based on your preference for lockdown. For the best initial fit, ensure your foot slides fully into the boot, utilizing the heel pull tab if present. The FUZIONFIT360 upper will begin to adapt to your foot's unique shape over the first few sessions. Give them a short break-in period to allow the materials to conform for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are equipped with an FG/AG soleplate, meaning they are perfectly compatible with:
- Firm Natural Ground (FG): Standard grass pitches that are not excessively wet or muddy.
- Artificial Grass (AG): Specifically 4G (third and fourth generation) artificial turf surfaces. Avoid using these boots on older 2G/3G sand-filled pitches extensively, as it can accelerate wear.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Remove excess mud and debris immediately after playing. Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) for stubborn dirt.
- Wipe Down: Wipe the upper with a damp cloth to remove surface grime. For synthetic uppers, mild soap can be used if necessary, but avoid harsh chemicals.
- Dry Naturally: Never put your boots in a washing machine or tumble dryer. Allow them to air dry at room temperature. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Remove Sockliner: Periodically remove the NanoGrip sockliner to clean separately and allow the boot interior to air out completely.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme heat.
