FG MG stands for 'Firm Ground Multi-Ground'. This soleplate design is versatile, providing optimal traction on both natural grass pitches (Firm Ground) and modern artificial turf fields (Multi-Ground).
After use, remove loose dirt with a soft brush. Wipe the upper with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Rinse the soleplate thoroughly to remove mud. Air dry them naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat.
Nike Mercurial boots generally have a narrower fit designed for speed. While the lacing closure allows some adjustment, players with wider feet might find them snug. We recommend trying them on to assess comfort and fit.
No, these FG MG boots are not designed for indoor soccer (futsal) or hard concrete surfaces. Using them on inappropriate surfaces can damage the studs, reduce your grip, and potentially cause injury.
The 'Academy' tier offers excellent performance for dedicated players, incorporating key technologies from the Mercurial line. Elite models typically feature more premium materials, advanced soleplate designs, and cutting-edge upper technologies for marginal performance gains, but at a higher price point.
The lifespan of football boots varies based on usage frequency, pitch type, and care. With proper care and use on recommended surfaces, these boots can last a full season or more. Regular cleaning and correct storage can extend their durability.
Ensure you have the correct size. New boots often require a 'break-in' period; wear them for short periods off the pitch initially. Adjust lacing to relieve pressure points, avoiding over-tightening.
Verify that you are playing on a compatible surface (Firm Ground or modern Multi-Ground artificial turf). Clean the studs thoroughly as mud or debris can reduce traction. If playing on worn artificial turf, grip may naturally be reduced.
Ensure you are using a secure double knot when lacing your boots. For added security, some players opt for different lacing techniques or aftermarket lace locks.
