No, the Northridge jacket features a grown-on (fixed) hood designed for reliable, always-ready protection.
With a 2000mm rating, it is suitable for light to moderate rain. It is not rated for torrential or prolonged heavy downpours.
The jacket is constructed from durable polyester, chosen for its resilience and ability to retain insulation.
It is well-suited for chilly autumn and spring days. For deep winter, it can be layered with a fleece underneath for extra warmth.
Refer to the specific UK children's size listed for your child; the design allows for comfortable movement and room for layers.
The jacket includes two convenient pockets for storing small essentials.
The waterproof coating may need re-application or the jacket requires a thorough cleaning to remove dirt and grime that inhibits the water-repellent properties.
The insulating padding may have clumped; gently shake the jacket to redistribute the filling or ensure it is fully dry after washing.
To keep the Trespass Long Jacket Northridge in optimal condition, avoid over-washing, as this can degrade the water-resistant coating over time. When cleaning is necessary, use a mild detergent and a gentle cycle on your washing machine, or follow the care label instructions for hand washing. Always air dry the jacket away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can damage the synthetic insulation and the waterproof fabric. For sizing, refer to the UK children's sizing chart provided by Trespass to ensure a fit that allows for base layers underneath without being overly bulky.
