FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
While the GT-2160 shares design DNA with high-performance runners, it is primarily categorized as a lifestyle trainer designed for comfort and casual activity.
How do I determine my size?
These trainers use standard UK adult sizing. We recommend choosing the size you typically wear in other major athletic footwear brands.
Are these suitable for wide feet?
The GT-2160 features a standard fit. If you typically require wide-width footwear, you may find the standard fit slightly snug.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the adhesive and structural integrity of the trainers. Spot cleaning is the recommended method.
What materials are used in the upper?
The upper consists of a mix of breathable synthetic mesh and supportive synthetic overlays for durability.
Troubleshooting
Visible dirt or mud on the upper mesh
Allow mud to dry completely before brushing it off, then use a damp cloth to spot-clean the area.
Uncomfortable fit or tightness
Try adjusting the lacing pattern to provide more room in the forefoot area or consider thinner socks.
Outsole losing traction
Check the tread for debris or small stones wedged in the grooves and remove them; clean the rubber outsole with a damp brush.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your ASICS GT-2160 trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Fit Check: Ensure you select your standard UK sizing, as the GT-2160 follows standard ASICS anatomical profiling.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove loose dirt from the mesh and synthetic overlays. For deeper stains, wipe gently with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the shoes in water or placing them in a washing machine.
- Drying: Always air dry your trainers at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the materials.
- Storage: Keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent discoloration of the silver finish.
