FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for long-distance running?
While the GT-2160 features GEL technology for comfort, it is designed primarily as a lifestyle trainer and heritage model rather than a specialized high-performance running shoe.
How do I maintain the white leather finish?
Regularly wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and use a dedicated leather cleaner or conditioner if the material begins to look dull.
What is the primary material used in this model?
The upper is constructed from leather, offering both a premium aesthetic and structural durability.
Is the sizing consistent with other Asics models?
Generally, yes. If you have worn Asics trainers before, you should find the sizing to be consistent with the brand's standard fit.
Do the GEL inserts provide significant cushioning?
Yes, the GEL technology is engineered to provide superior shock absorption and comfort during daily activities.
Troubleshooting
Stiffness upon first wear
The leather upper needs a break-in period. Try wearing the shoes for a few hours at a time during the first week.
Dirt buildup in midsole grooves
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove debris from the segmented midsole areas.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Asics GT-2160 trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Sizing: These shoes follow standard UK adult sizing; ensure you choose your regular fit.
- Initial Break-in: Because of the leather upper, wear them for short periods initially to allow the material to conform to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Wipe the leather surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh chemical cleaners, as this can degrade the material.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent leather cracking or fading.
