Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation is Key:
- Clean Surfaces: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. For exterior surfaces, a gentle wash may be required.
- Sanding (Optional): For very smooth or glossy surfaces, a light sanding can improve adhesion. Wipe away any dust after sanding.
- Priming: While this is an all-in-one paint, extremely porous or damaged surfaces might benefit from a specific primer, though typically not required.
Application:
- Stir the paint thoroughly before use.
- Apply using a good quality brush or roller suitable for emulsion paints.
- Apply in thin, even coats. Two coats are usually recommended for best results, especially when changing colours.
- Allow adequate drying time between coats as per the manufacturer's instructions.
Compatibility:
This paint is designed for a wide range of surfaces including plaster, wood, metal, and previously painted surfaces (ensure old paint is sound and adhered).
Care and Maintenance:
- Clean brushes and tools with water immediately after use.
- For cleaning painted surfaces, use a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- The paint cures fully over time; avoid heavy scrubbing or cleaning for the first few weeks after application.
