Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Preparation is Key:
- Surface Cleaning: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and flaking paint. For best results, wash down surfaces with a mild detergent and water, then rinse thoroughly.
- Degreasing: For surfaces like kitchen cabinets or UPVC, a degreasing cleaner is recommended.
- Sanding (if necessary): Lightly sand glossy surfaces to create a key for adhesion. Wipe away dust with a damp cloth.
- Repairs: Fill any cracks or holes and allow to dry completely.
Application:
- Stir the paint thoroughly before and during use.
- Apply evenly using a brush, roller, or spray gun.
- Two coats are generally recommended for optimal coverage and durability, especially on high-traffic areas or for significant colour changes.
- Allow adequate drying time between coats, typically 2-4 hours, depending on environmental conditions.
Compatibility:
This paint is compatible with most common interior and exterior surfaces including previously painted surfaces, bare wood, metal (ensure appropriate pre-treatment if necessary), plaster, masonry, brick, stone, concrete, and plastics.
Care:
- Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with water.
- For cleaning painted surfaces, use a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild, non-abrasive detergent can be used. Avoid excessive scrubbing.
- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
