FAQs

Are these boots suitable for indoor court surfaces?

These boots are designed primarily for artificial turf. While they may provide traction on some indoor surfaces, the lug outsole is optimized specifically for synthetic turf.

Can I use these on natural grass?

It is not recommended. The lug rubber outsole will not provide sufficient grip on soft or wet natural grass, potentially leading to instability.

How do I determine the right size for my child?

Use the provided UK sizing chart and ensure there is a thumb-width of space between the toe and the front of the boot for growth and comfort.

How should I clean the HybridTouch upper?

Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap to wipe away dirt. Avoid soaking the boots in water.

Does the Messi edition fit differently than standard F50s?

The Messi edition features specific structural adjustments like the synthetic suede upper, but they follow standard adidas F50 sizing protocols.

Troubleshooting

Boots feel slippery on the pitch

Ensure the outsole lugs are free of packed dirt or rubber pellets from the turf, which can reduce grip.

Discomfort during play

Check that the floating tongue is centered and the laces are not tightened unevenly across the bridge of the foot.

Odour buildup

Remove the insoles after play to allow air circulation and use a sports-specific shoe deodorizer.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent traction on artificial turf surfaces
Lightweight construction promotes faster acceleration
Messi-inspired design provides a professional look
Durable suede and synthetic materials

Cons

Not suitable for use on natural grass or mud
Requires lace-up adjustment which may be tricky for very young children
White colourway may show dirt easily after outdoor use

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure a secure fit, adjust the laces starting from the bottom eyelets to the top to ensure the floating tongue is correctly positioned against the foot. These boots are compatible with all standard artificial turf football pitches. For care, avoid using harsh chemicals or machine washing. After training on wet turf, remove excess mud with a soft brush and wipe the HybridTouch upper with a damp cloth. Always air-dry the boots at room temperature; avoid placing them near heaters or direct sunlight, which can warp the synthetic materials and weaken the glue bonding the sole.
