Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are threaded correctly and tied securely, but not too tightly, to achieve a snug and comfortable fit.
- Initial Wear: Wear the boots for short periods during practice sessions to break them in gradually, helping the material conform to the foot.
Compatibility
- Pitch Type: These boots are specifically designed for firm ground (FG), which typically refers to natural grass pitches that are not excessively wet or dry.
- Age Group: Suitable for children and juniors, identified as 'kids' or 'childrens' sizing.
Care
Maintaining your boots properly will extend their lifespan and performance:
- Cleaning after use: After each session, wipe off dirt and mud with a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, use a soft brush.
- Drying: Always allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators), as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using a shoe tree or stuffing with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, consider using a shoe deodorizer or sprinkling baking soda inside and allowing it to sit overnight before tapping it out.
