Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your HOKA Transport Hike shoes last, follow these maintenance tips:
- Break-in: Wear your shoes for short intervals indoors or on paved paths before taking them on longer, remote hikes to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Remove excess dirt or mud after each hike using a soft brush. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap; avoid submerging them in a washing machine as this can damage the GORE-TEX membrane.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature. Never place them near direct heat sources like radiators or campfires, as extreme heat can cause the glue and materials to warp or degrade.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent material fading and structural breakdown over time.
