This rating means that approximately 10,000 grams of water vapor can pass through one square meter of the fabric in 24 hours, helping to keep your child comfortable by allowing sweat to escape.

Ensure the suit has been washed correctly without fabric softener and consider re-applying a DWR finish. Check that all seams and closures are intact.

This could indicate reduced breathability. Ensure the suit is clean and that the fabric's breathable membrane is not blocked by dirt or residue. Check that the clothing layers underneath are also breathable.

Check for any fabric caught in the zip. Gently try to free it. If still stiff, a small amount of wax or silicone lubricant can help, applied carefully to the zip teeth only.

Ensure the suit was not over-dried or exposed to high heat. Air drying away from direct heat is recommended. Re-washing with a specific technical cleaner might help soften the fabric.
