Setup
These spikes typically come with the 6 spikes pre-installed. Before first use, ensure all spikes are securely tightened using a spike wrench (often sold separately or included with other spike sets). Regularly check spike tightness before each competition or training session to prevent loss.
Compatibility
These long jump spikes are designed for use on synthetic track surfaces. They are not recommended for concrete, asphalt, or other hard surfaces, as this can damage the spikes and the shoe itself.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, gently brush off any dirt or track material from the outsole and upper. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing.
- Drying: Allow the spikes to air dry completely at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or artificial heat sources, which can damage materials.
- Storage: Store your spikes in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. Consider a dedicated spike bag to protect them and keep them separate from other gear.
- Spike Maintenance: Periodically inspect spikes for wear and tear. Replace dull or bent spikes to maintain optimal traction. Always use the correct length spikes for your event and track regulations.
