Product Information

Full details

The Salomon XT EVR is designed for active adults who need a versatile trainer that bridges the gap between rugged trail-inspired durability and modern, everyday comfort. Its primary benefit is a stable, lightweight feel that accommodates both light exploration and daily urban wear; however, users should note that as a lifestyle-performance hybrid, it may not offer the same level of technical support as dedicated, heavy-duty mountain hiking boots.

FAQs

Are these shoes waterproof?

The XT EVR is not explicitly marketed as waterproof. While the materials are durable, they are designed for breathability and are not intended for submersion.

Can I use these for long-distance trail running?

While inspired by trail gear, these are lifestyle trainers. They are suitable for light outdoor activity but lack the specific technical features required for professional trail running.

How do I determine the correct size?

Salomon sizing is generally standard. We recommend measuring your foot in the afternoon and referencing your UK size as listed on the label.

Can I replace the insoles?

Yes, the insoles are removable and can be replaced with custom orthotics or aftermarket insoles if needed.

Are these suitable for gym use?

Yes, their stable base and comfortable fit make them excellent for general gym training and weightlifting sessions.

Troubleshooting

Foot feels slightly cramped after long wear

Try adjusting the lacing pattern to relieve pressure points over the bridge of the foot.

Accumulation of mud in tread

Wait for the mud to dry completely before knocking it out against a hard surface or brushing it off with a stiff-bristle brush.

Inner lining feeling damp

Remove the insole and stuff the shoe with dry paper towels to absorb excess moisture overnight.

Lightweight feel reduces foot fatigue
Versatile design suitable for urban and light outdoor use
Stable base provides confidence on uneven ground

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Salomon XT EVR trainers last, follow these guidelines:

Fit Check: Ensure the shoe is snug around the midfoot but allows room for toe splay.
Cleaning: Wipe away loose dirt with a soft brush after outdoor use. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid fully submerging in water or using harsh detergents.
Drying: Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp synthetic materials.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent material degradation.
