It'll give rich colour and tough protection to walls, ceilings and pretty much anything else you want to paint. It's stain resistant and washable, ready to stand up to the challenges of every day life. This product covers 25 m²/litre, needs 1 coat, can be applied with a brush or roller, is dry to touch in 1 hour and if needed can be recoated in 1 hour. For previously painted walls: Sand off any loose or flaking paint. Then give the walls a wipe with a damp cloth. If painting over a very bold or contrasting colour, use a basecoat first. Or you may need to put on an extra coat. For bare plaster: If you've had your walls and ceilings re-plastered, let it dry for 7 days before painting. You'll then need to seal the plaster. Use a basecoat or a plaster sealer for this. For bare & previously painted wood: Give the wood a light sand with 120 grit sandpaper, then wipe away the dust with a damp cloth. Fill any holes and cracks and treat any knots. For bare and painted metal: Sand of any loose and flaking paint, then wipe away the dust with a damp cloth. *If you're painting ferrous metals, like steel or cast iron, you'll need to use a specialist metal primer first. Give your paint a good stir. If you've got more than one tine of the same colour, mix them together. This'll ensure the colour is consistent. Get lots of paint on your roller or brush. Always work from dry to wet areas. Don't spread the paint too thin. Extra coats may be needed when trying to cover bold or contrasting colours. It'll be touch dry in 1 hour. If the second coat is needed wait 2-4 hours. Do not thin this paint.

Does it really only need one coat?
Yes, Ronseal One Coat Everywhere Matt Paint is specifically designed for effective coverage in a single coat, saving you time and effort. For optimal results, ensure thorough surface preparation and apply an even, generous coat.
What surfaces can I use this paint on?
This versatile paint is suitable for interior walls, ceilings, interior wood (such as skirting boards, doors, and window frames), and interior metal surfaces, allowing for a consistent finish throughout your home.
How long does it take for the paint to dry?
The paint is quick drying. It will typically be touch dry within 1-2 hours. However, always allow adequate time (usually 24-48 hours) for the paint to fully cure before heavy use or cleaning. Info needed: [specific recoat times from product label, if applicable].
How do I clean paint brushes and rollers after using this paint?
Clean all painting equipment, including brushes and rollers, immediately after use with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly until all paint residue is removed.
Is this paint suitable for exterior use?

Can I paint over existing wallpaper with this product?
While technically possible if the wallpaper is firmly adhered and in good condition, for best results and long-term durability, it is generally recommended to remove wallpaper, properly prepare the wall surface, and then paint. If you must paint over wallpaper, ensure it is clean, smooth, and apply a test patch first.

Troubleshooting
Uneven finish or visible brush/roller marks after drying.
Ensure you stir the paint thoroughly before and during application. Apply an even, generous coat without overworking the paint. For heavily absorbent or very dark surfaces, a second coat may be desired for perfection, despite the 'one coat' claim, to achieve a perfectly uniform look.
Paint is not adhering properly or peeling.
This usually indicates insufficient surface preparation. Ensure surfaces are completely clean, dry, and free from grease, dust, or loose material (like old flaking paint) before painting. Lightly sand glossy surfaces to create a 'key' for better adhesion.
Mould reappears after painting.
While the paint is mould-resistant, existing mould must be thoroughly removed and the area treated with a suitable mould killer *before* painting. It is crucial to also address any underlying moisture issues (e.g., leaks, condensation) causing the mould growth to prevent recurrence.

Offers excellent resistance to grease, stains, and mould, ideal for busy areas.
Easy to clean and maintain, promoting a long-lasting fresh look.

Cons
Matt finish may not be ideal for all aesthetic preferences or extremely high-traffic areas requiring a very high scrub-resistance sheen.
Optimal one-coat effectiveness can depend on underlying surface condition and significant color changes.
Requires proper surface preparation for best results, like any paint product.
Setup and Preparation
Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose paint, dust, dirt, grease, and mould. Fill any cracks or holes with appropriate filler and sand smooth. For heavily stained or porous surfaces, a suitable primer may be beneficial, though the paint is designed for one-coat application on prepared surfaces.
Masking: Mask off adjacent areas, skirting boards, and electrical outlets to protect them from paint splatters and ensure clean lines.
Application
Stirring: Stir the paint thoroughly before and periodically during use to ensure consistent color and finish.
Application Method: Apply using a good quality brush or roller. For best one-coat results, apply a generous, even coat. Avoid over-spreading, which can reduce coverage and durability.
Working Efficiently: As the paint is quick-drying, work efficiently in manageable sections to maintain a wet edge and achieve a smooth finish.
Compatibility
Suitable for: Interior walls, ceilings, interior wood (e.g., skirting boards, doors, window frames), and interior metal (e.g., railings, furniture).
Not Recommended for: Exterior use or surfaces that require a high-gloss finish. Not suitable for floors.
Care & Cleaning
Tool Cleaning: Clean brushes and rollers immediately after use with warm soapy water.
Cure Time: Allow the paint to fully cure (typically several days, even though it's touch dry quickly) before heavy use or cleaning to ensure maximum durability.
Surface Cleaning: The paint is washable; use a damp, soft cloth with mild soap and water to clean marks. Avoid abrasive cleaners or aggressive scrubbing, which can damage the matt finish.
