Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup and Wearing
- Preparation: Ensure your football socks are smooth and free of wrinkles. Some players prefer thinner socks for better ball feel, while others opt for padded socks for comfort.
- Putting On: The low-cut slip-on design allows for easy entry. Gently slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is seated correctly.
- Lacing: Tighten the laces evenly from bottom to top, ensuring a snug but not overly restrictive fit. Double-knotting is recommended to prevent laces from coming undone during play.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG/AG soleplate, meaning they are compatible with:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp.
- Artificial Ground (AG): Modern synthetic turf pitches (3G and 4G).
Avoid using these boots on very soft, muddy pitches (SG - Soft Ground) or hard, abrasive surfaces like concrete or asphalt, as this can damage the studs and outsole, and potentially lead to injury.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the lifespan and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After every match or training session, gently tap the boots together to dislodge loose mud and grass. Use a damp cloth or soft brush to wipe away any remaining dirt from the upper and outsole.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as excessive heat can cause the synthetic materials to crack or shrink.
- Deodorizing: To prevent odors, remove insoles and air them out separately. You can also use boot deodorizers or stuff boots with newspaper to absorb moisture.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
