The New Balance Tektrel V1 is a purpose-built off-road running shoe designed for adult female runners who frequent woodland paths, muddy fell routes, and cross-country trails. It offers exceptional traction and lateral stability on uneven ground, allowing for confident movement in rugged environments; however, its specialized design is primarily intended for soft and trail surfaces rather than long-distance road running.

These trainers are designed for breathability and drainage on the trail, so they are not waterproof.
While you can technically walk or jog on roads, they are specifically optimized for trail traction and may feel stiff on hard, flat surfaces.
Trail shoes should generally have about a thumb's width of space at the front, as feet tend to swell during long runs and toes need room on steep descents.
Most trail running shoes should be replaced every 300 to 500 miles, or sooner if the tread pattern has worn down significantly, impacting grip.
The Tektrel V1 has a technical, locked-in fit; if you generally require extra width, consider checking the specific width availability for your size.
Try using a runner's loop (also known as a heel lock) lacing technique to secure the heel more firmly.
Periodically clean the tread with a stiff-bristled brush to maintain maximum traction efficiency.
For optimal performance, ensure you have the correct fit for trail activities, as these shoes are designed to keep the foot firmly locked in place. When cleaning after a muddy run, remove dried mud with a soft brush rather than submerging the shoe in water. Avoid placing the shoes in a clothes dryer or near direct heat sources, as high temperatures can compromise the integrity of the adhesive and cushioning materials. Air dry in a well-ventilated area.
