The New Balance Tektrel V1 is an ideal choice for female trail runners who need a reliable, stable shoe for off-road adventures, ranging from woodland paths to muddy fell routes. Designed specifically for rugged terrain, it offers superior traction and a secure fit to keep you stable on uneven ground, though runners primarily sticking to asphalt may find the aggressive tread pattern less optimal for smooth pavement.

The Tektrel V1 is designed for breathability and drainage on trails; it is not classified as waterproof.
While technically possible, the aggressive outsole lugs are designed for soft earth and may feel uncomfortable or wear down prematurely on hard, flat roads.
New Balance sizing is generally consistent; however, for trail running, many users prefer a half-size up to accommodate foot swelling and thicker socks.
Use a gentle cleaning solution or mild soap with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that may damage the fabric.
They are best suited for woodland paths, muddy fells, and general cross-country terrain.
Ensure laces are tightened consistently from the bottom eyelets upward to enhance lockdown.
Use a stiff-bristled brush to clear the lug channels after each run to maintain maximum grip.
Check that the shoe size allows for natural foot swelling; if pressure persists, consider wearing thinner technical socks.
To ensure the longevity of your Tektrel V1s, it is recommended to break them in on shorter, varied-terrain walks before attempting long-distance trail runs. Because they are designed for performance, ensure the laces are tensioned evenly across the instep for maximum stability. After muddy runs, allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can degrade adhesives. To clean, remove excess dried mud with a soft brush and wipe the white upper with a damp cloth; avoid submerging them in a washing machine as this can compromise the specialized structural materials.
