Nike Legend 10 Academy SG-PR Football Shoe - Blue - 10 UK

The Nike Legend 10 Academy SG-PR boots are specifically designed for soft ground (SG-PR) pitches, which are natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or heavily waterlogged.

No, it is strongly advised not to use SG-PR boots on artificial grass (AG) or firm ground (FG) surfaces. The long studs can cause injury, damage the pitch, and wear down the studs quickly.

Remove excess mud with a soft brush or damp cloth immediately after use. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat. For deeper cleaning, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with a damp cloth.

The 'Academy' designation typically indicates a mid-tier model within Nike's boot range. It offers good performance features and quality suitable for regular training and competitive play, often at a more accessible price point than top-tier 'Elite' or 'Pro' models.

Ensure your regular UK shoe size is selected. The 'contoured fit' is designed to adapt, but a short break-in period is often needed. Wear your usual football socks when trying them on, and lace them securely to achieve a snug but comfortable feel.

Many SG-PR boots feature replaceable metal studs. While the product description doesn't explicitly state 'replaceable studs' for this specific 'Academy' model, it's a common feature for SG-PR soles. Info needed: [Confirm if studs are replaceable for this specific Academy model].

Ensure you've had a proper break-in period. Try wearing them for shorter periods during training. If discomfort persists, check your sock thickness or consider if the size/width is truly appropriate for your foot.

Verify that the playing surface is genuinely soft ground. If it's firm, SG-PR studs won't grip effectively. Also, inspect your studs for wear or damage; worn studs reduce traction. Ensure all replaceable studs are tightened securely.

Re-lace your boots, ensuring you use all eyelets and pull the laces evenly tight, especially around the ankle collar. A different lacing technique or thicker socks might also help achieve a more secure fit.

While SG-PR boots are for wet conditions, they aren't fully waterproof. Consider waterproof socks for extreme conditions. Ensure the boots are clean and properly maintained to prevent material degradation that could compromise water resistance.
