Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are threaded evenly through all eyelets and tied securely. A snug, even lacing helps provide optimal foot and ankle support, crucial for stability.
- Break-in: Although Tiempo boots are known for comfort straight out of the box, a short break-in period during light training sessions is recommended. This allows the engineered leather to fully conform to your unique foot shape.
- Socks: Always wear the type of football socks you typically use during matches. This ensures the boots fit correctly and comfortably under game conditions.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Multi-Ground (MG) outsole, making them highly versatile for use on:
- Firm Natural Grass Pitches: Provides reliable traction on standard grass fields.
- Artificial Turf: Suitable for both older, rubber crumb-filled turf and newer, short-bladed synthetic surfaces.
Avoid using these boots on extremely hard asphalt surfaces or very soft, muddy pitches, as they are not specifically designed for these conditions and may result in suboptimal performance or accelerated wear.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the boots thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove mud, dirt, and debris. For more stubborn stains, a mild soap solution can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources such as radiators, hair dryers, or direct sunlight, as this can dry out and damage the engineered leather and synthetic components. Stuffing the boots with newspaper can help absorb internal moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Leather Care: Periodically apply a small amount of leather conditioner designed for synthetic or engineered leather football boots. This will help keep the upper material supple, prevent cracking, and prolong the lifespan of your boots. Always refer to the product label for specific care instructions.
