The Puma Velocity Nitro 5 is a versatile, neutral road running shoe designed for adult male runners seeking a balance of comfort, responsive cushioning, and everyday durability. Utilizing advanced NITROFOAM technology, these trainers provide excellent energy return for both daily training sessions and longer distance runs, though users with specific overpronation needs may find the neutral support profile insufficient for high-mileage stability requirements.

No, this is a neutral running shoe designed for runners who do not require extra arch support for overpronation.
While the PUMAGRIP outsole offers great traction, these are specifically designed for road and paved surfaces and may not provide enough protection for technical, rocky trails.
Generally, running shoes lose their optimal cushioning properties between 300 and 500 miles, depending on your running style and surface conditions.
It is recommended to hand wash your trainers using mild soap and a soft brush to protect the specialized foam technology from the harsh environment of a washing machine.
The Velocity Nitro 5 is categorized as a lightweight daily trainer, though specific weight can vary slightly based on the size (e.g., size 11).
Ensure the lace-through loop on the tongue is utilized when lacing the shoe to keep the tongue centered.
Loosen the lacing in the midfoot to increase airflow through the engineered mesh upper.
Clean the bottom of the shoes with mild soap and water to remove dirt and debris that can accumulate in the tread patterns.
For optimal performance, ensure you are wearing the correct size; the Puma Velocity Nitro 5 fits true to size, but standard running socks should be used to gauge proper heel lockdown. To extend the life of your trainers, remove them by untying the laces rather than stepping on the heel, as this preserves the structural integrity of the heel cup. After muddy or wet runs, wipe the PUMAGRIP outsole with a damp cloth and allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can degrade the foam properties over time.
