Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
Proper preparation is key to achieving the luxurious finish this paint offers.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces (walls or wood) are clean, dry, sound, and free from dust, dirt, grease, and loose material. Fill any holes or cracks with appropriate filler and sand smooth. For new plaster or bare wood, apply a suitable primer or mist coat first to ensure optimal adhesion and absorbency.
- Stirring: Thoroughly stir the paint before and periodically during use. This ensures the color pigments and binders are evenly distributed, leading to a consistent finish.
- Application Tools: For best results, use a high-quality synthetic brush for cutting in and edges, and a good quality short-pile roller for larger wall and wood surfaces.
Compatibility
This paint is specifically formulated for:
- Interior Walls: Suitable for plaster, drywall, and previously painted surfaces.
- Interior Wood: Ideal for skirting boards, architraves, doors, and window frames.
Care & Maintenance
To keep your painted surfaces looking their best:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe painted surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners, scrubbing pads, or excessive rubbing, as these can damage the delicate matt finish.
- Storage: Store the paint in its original container with the lid tightly sealed. Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, frost, and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is stored upright.
