Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Surface Preparation
Achieving a flawless finish begins with proper surface preparation:
- Clean: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, grease, or loose material. Use a sugar soap solution for effective cleaning.
- Fill & Sand: Fill any cracks or holes with appropriate filler and sand smooth.
- Prime: For bare, porous, or previously painted glossy surfaces, apply a suitable primer or undercoat. This ensures optimal adhesion and a consistent finish. For new plaster, ensure it is fully dry and sealed with a mist coat of diluted paint (e.g., 1 part paint to 10 parts water) before applying full coats.
- Stir: Thoroughly stir the paint before and periodically during use to ensure the color and consistency are uniform.
Application
- Apply with a good quality brush or roller. For best results, use a short to medium pile roller for walls and ceilings, and a high-quality synthetic brush for cutting in and trim.
- Apply in thin, even coats. Avoid over-brushing or over-rolling, as this can affect the finish.
- Drying Time: Info needed: [Provide specific drying time between coats and full cure time if available]. Allow adequate time for each coat to dry before applying the next.
- Coverage: Info needed: [Provide specific coverage per litre if available]. Typically, 2 coats are recommended for full opacity, especially when painting over a contrasting color.
Compatibility
This paint is suitable for most interior walls, ceilings, and prepared wooden surfaces.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning Tools: Clean brushes and rollers immediately after use with warm soapy water.
- Storage: Store the paint in a cool, dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed.
- Surface Cleaning: Flat matt finishes are generally not highly scrubbable. For minor marks, gently wipe with a lightly damp, soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive scrubbing, as this can burnish the finish.
