Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Salomon XT-6 sneakers is straightforward, primarily focusing on utilizing the Quicklace system.
- Insert Foot: Slide your foot into the shoe, ensuring your heel is seated comfortably against the back.
- Pull Tab: Grasp the Quicklace tab firmly.
- Tighten Laces: Pull the tab upwards and outwards until the shoe feels snug and secure around your foot. Avoid overtightening to prevent discomfort.
- Secure Lock: Push the plastic Quicklace stopper down towards the shoe's tongue to lock the laces in place.
- Stow Excess: Tuck any excess lace and the stopper into the elastic lace pocket on the tongue to prevent snagging.
Compatibility
The Salomon XT-6 is designed for:
- Activities: Challenging speed hikes, trail running, light hiking, and active casual wear.
- Terrain: Trails of various types, including rocky paths, dirt trails, and mixed terrain. The downhill chassis and lugged outsole are optimized for rugged outdoor environments.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your XT-6 sneakers.
- Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt and debris after each use. For tougher grime, use a damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, which can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can degrade materials.
- Storage: Store your sneakers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure they are clean and dry before storing.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, remove insoles and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or baking soda sprinkled inside overnight (remove before wearing).
