Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
Using your Salomon XT-6 shoes is straightforward. Simply loosen the Quicklace system, insert your foot, and pull the Quicklace toggle to tighten to your desired comfort level. Ensure the fit is snug but not overly tight to allow for natural foot movement.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed for trail running, hiking, and general outdoor activities. They are compatible with various terrains including rocky paths, dirt trails, gravel roads, and even pavement. Their robust construction makes them suitable for adults engaged in moderate to intense physical activities outdoors.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your XT-6 shoes:
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy or dusty conditions, clean the shoes. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove loose dirt from the upper and outsole. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh detergents or chemical cleaners.
- Drying: Air dry your shoes naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure they are dry before storage to prevent mildew or odor.
- Quicklace System: Periodically check the Quicklace system for any wear or fraying. The lacing system is designed for durability but can be replaced if needed.
- Ortholite Sockliner: The removable OrthoLite sockliner can be hand washed with mild soap and air-dried if it becomes soiled or develops odor.
