It is not recommended. Hand cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap is safer for the rubber and canvas materials.
While the canvas is flexible, it may take 1-2 days of wear for the shoes to mold perfectly to your feet.
While designed originally as basketball shoes, modern standards suggest using them for casual wear or light gym activity rather than high-performance sports.
Converse tend to run slightly large. If you are between sizes, many users prefer to size down by half a size.
Avoid leaving the shoes in direct, intense sunlight for long periods when not in use to prevent the red pigment from fading.
Consider wearing thicker athletic socks to improve the snugness of the fit.
Use a soft-bristled brush with a mix of water and mild detergent to gently scrub the affected area.
Insert a high-quality aftermarket insole to customize the comfort level for your specific arch type.
To get the best fit, ensure your UK size 8 aligns with your standard footwear measurements, as Converse sizing can sometimes run slightly larger than dress shoes. For care, keep the canvas clean by spot-cleaning with mild soap and a damp cloth; avoid machine washing as this can damage the rubber bonding. If the shoes become damp, air-dry them away from direct heat sources to prevent the canvas from stiffening or fading the vibrant red color.
