FAQs

What material are these trainers made of?

The trainers feature a textile (canvas) upper and a synthetic sole.

Are these trainers waterproof?

No, the canvas material is not waterproof. They are best suited for dry conditions or light moisture.

How should I clean the striped sole?

The rubber sole can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. For tougher marks, a magic eraser or non-abrasive cleaner can be used carefully.

What age group are these trainers for?

These trainers are specifically designed for toddlers.

Do these trainers come in other colors?

While this guide focuses on the Black - Striped variant, Converse offers the All Star Hi style in various colors and designs. Please check available product listings for other options.

How do I determine the correct size?

Measure your toddler's foot from heel to the longest toe and compare it to the Converse size chart. It's recommended to have about a thumb's width of space for growth.

Troubleshooting

Shoes appear dirty quickly

Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For more significant dirt, use a soft brush and a dedicated shoe cleaner, then allow to air dry.

Laces are difficult to tie securely

Ensure the laces are threaded through all eyelets evenly. Consider double-knotting for extra security. If laces are worn, replace them with new ones.

Toddler complains of discomfort

Check the fit by ensuring there is a thumb's width of space between the longest toe and the end of the shoe. Ensure laces are not too tight. Make sure socks are worn correctly.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Iconic and timeless design that pairs with various outfits.
Durable construction suitable for active toddlers.
Comfortable fit with padded ankle collar and cushioned insole.
Secure lace-up closure allows for adjustable fit.
Good traction from the rubber sole.

Cons

Canvas material may require frequent cleaning.
Lace-up design might be challenging for very young children to manage independently.
May offer less waterproofing compared to synthetic materials.
Sizing can sometimes run large, requiring careful measurement.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: These trainers come ready to wear. Ensure the laces are adjusted for a comfortable and secure fit for your toddler's foot.

Compatibility: The Converse All Star Hi Trainers are designed for general toddler footwear use and are compatible with most casual toddler clothing. They are suitable for children identified as toddlers.

Care:

Cleaning: For light dirt, use a soft brush or cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh detergents. For stubborn stains on the canvas, a specialized shoe cleaner can be used following product instructions.
Drying: Allow the trainers to air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not machine dry.
Laces: Keep laces clean and replace if they become frayed.
