Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Getting Started (Setup)
- Initial Wear: When first using your adidas Predator Pro boots, wear them for short periods during light training sessions to allow the material to conform to your foot shape. This helps minimize discomfort and prevent blisters during competitive play.
- Lacing: Experiment with lacing patterns to find the snugness that best supports your foot without causing excessive pressure. Ensure laces are securely tied to prevent loosening during play.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are best suited for natural grass fields that are dry and firm. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or very hard surfaces may reduce performance, increase wear, or potentially void warranties. Always match your boot type to the playing surface.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care extends the lifespan and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. You can gently wipe the Strikeskin fins to maintain their grippy texture.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives. Stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Keeping them in a boot bag can protect them during transport.
- Inspection: Regularly check for signs of wear and tear, especially on the studs and outsole. Early detection of damage can prevent further issues.
