Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but not overly tight. A snug fit is crucial for ball control and comfort. Experiment with lacing patterns if you experience pressure points.
- Break-in Period: Wear your new Predator Pro boots for a few shorter training sessions before using them in a full match. This allows the HybridTouch upper to adapt to your foot's shape, maximizing comfort and feel.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Controlplate outsole specifically designed for firm ground (FG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are relatively dry and firm. Using these boots on soft ground, wet pitches, or artificial turf surfaces is not recommended as it can compromise grip, performance, and potentially damage the boots or increase risk of injury.
Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and grass clippings. Wipe the synthetic upper with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Pay attention to the Strikeskin fins to keep them free of debris.
- Studs: Clean the outsole and studs thoroughly to maintain optimal grip. A soft brush can help remove stubborn mud.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees or crumpled newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
