FAQs

Is the Regatta Daysha II suitable for heavy rain?

Yes, it is constructed from Isotex 10000 fabric with taped seams, making it highly waterproof and suitable for challenging wet conditions.

Does this jacket come with an insulated lining?

No, it features a mesh lining meant for comfort and breathability rather than warmth, so it is best used as a shell over layers.

Can I adjust the hood?

Yes, the jacket includes a concealed hood with built-in adjusters for a secure, customized fit.

Are the cuffs adjustable?

Yes, the jacket features adjustable cuffs and an adjustable shock-cord hem to help seal out the elements.

What is the best way to clean this jacket?

Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a dedicated technical fabric cleaner, then air dry away from direct heat sources.

Troubleshooting

Water begins to soak into the outer fabric instead of beading off

The DWR finish has likely worn off. Wash the jacket with a technical gear cleaner and re-apply a DWR spray treatment.

Condensation build-up inside the jacket

Ensure you are using appropriate moisture-wicking base layers and adjust the hood or cuffs to improve ventilation.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-level waterproof performance with Isotex 10000 technology
Breathable material prevents overheating during active hikes
Versatile adjustability with cinchable hood, hem, and cuffs
Convenient storage options with interior and exterior pockets

Cons

Lightweight shell design requires layering for warmth
Limited to rainy weather utility rather than heavy insulation
Requires regular maintenance to keep the water-repellent finish effective

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your jacket remains waterproof, keep the surface clean; dirt and oils can affect the performance of the durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. Always machine wash on a gentle cycle using technical garment cleaners rather than standard household detergents. For re-waterproofing, allow the garment to air dry naturally and avoid high heat. Because this is a shell jacket, it is highly compatible with mid-layer systems; consider wearing thermal base layers or light fleeces underneath to tailor your outfit to the ambient temperature. When not in use, ensure the jacket is fully dry before folding to prevent mold or mildew formation.
