The Regatta Birchdale II is a high-performance, waterproof jacket designed specifically for female outdoor enthusiasts tackling challenging hiking environments. It offers exceptional rain protection and breathability through its Isotex 15000 stretch fabric, though its technical build and specialized features may be more than required for light, casual urban use.

Yes, it provides excellent wind and rain protection. However, since it is a shell layer, ensure you wear appropriate insulating layers underneath to manage warmth.
Yes, machine wash on a cool setting. It is highly recommended to use a cleaner specifically formulated for technical waterproof outerwear.
No, this jacket features a grown-on technical hood that is permanently attached.
The jacket is constructed from high-quality, durable polyester with an Isotex 15000 membrane.
Use the adjustable cuffs and the shock cord hem to cinch the jacket close to your body, which helps retain heat and keeps out moisture.
The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish has worn off. Wash the jacket with a technical gear cleaner and re-apply a DWR spray treatment.
This is likely caused by condensation rather than a leak. Ensure you are layering appropriately with moisture-wicking base layers to allow the breathability function to work effectively.
To ensure the longevity of your jacket, always secure the hook-and-loop cuffs and tighten the shock cord hem before storage. When cleaning, use a technical gear cleaner rather than standard detergents to avoid damaging the waterproof membrane. After washing, low-heat tumble drying or air drying is recommended to help reactivate the durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. Avoid using fabric softeners as they can clog the pores of the breathable fabric. If you notice the jacket 'wetting out'—where water no longer beads on the surface—consider applying a spray-on re-proofer to restore its exterior performance.
