Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Puma King Ultimate boots is straightforward: simply put them on, lace them up securely to achieve a snug fit, and you're ready to play. A proper fit is crucial for comfort and performance, so ensure your foot feels locked in without excessive pressure points. A short break-in period during light training sessions is recommended to allow the boots to mold to your foot's unique shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This includes natural grass pitches that are not excessively wet or muddy. While some players may use FG boots on newer artificial grass (AG) pitches, using them consistently on AG or very hard ground can lead to premature wear on the studs and potentially reduce traction. They are sized as UK 6 and are intended for adult male players.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Puma King Ultimate boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, gently tap the boots together to remove excess mud and debris. Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) to clean the studs and soleplate. Wipe the K-BETTER upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (like radiators). Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them from dirt and damage during transport.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry your football boots, as this can damage the materials and construction.
