Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- First Wear: Before your first game or intense training session, wear your boots around the house or during a light warm-up to begin the break-in process. This helps the premium leather start conforming to your foot shape.
- Lacing: Ensure your boots are laced snugly but not too tightly. A secure fit is crucial for stability, but excessive tightness can cause discomfort and restrict blood flow.
Compatibility
These Puma King Ultimate boots feature an FG/AG Outsole, meaning they are specifically designed and optimized for:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm and relatively dry.
- Artificial Grass (AG): Modern synthetic turf pitches (e.g., 3G, 4G).
Do not use these boots on indoor courts, concrete, or very abrasive surfaces, as this can damage the outsole and upper, and may void any warranty.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your leather boots:
- Cleaning after Use: After every use, gently wipe off dirt and debris with a soft brush or damp cloth. For stubborn mud, use a mild soap solution.
- Drying: Never dry your boots with direct heat (e.g., radiator, hairdryer) as this can crack and stiffen the leather. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry at room temperature.
- Conditioning: Periodically, apply a leather conditioner specifically designed for football boots. This keeps the leather supple, prevents cracking, and maintains its water resistance.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a boot bag can protect them from scratches and dust.
