FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running marathons?

No, the Nike Initiator is designed for casual walking and light exercise rather than long-distance technical running.

Can I wash these in a washing machine?

It is not recommended. Machine washing can damage the adhesive and material structure of the trainers.

What is the best way to clean the mesh material?

Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust, followed by a light wipe with a damp cloth if needed.

Do these shoes provide good arch support?

They provide standard support suitable for everyday activities. For specialized orthopedic needs, consider adding a custom insole.

Are these shoes waterproof?

No, the breathable mesh construction makes these shoes porous. They are not designed to keep feet dry in rainy conditions.

Do these trainers run true to size?

Yes, they generally fit true to standard UK sizing for the provided size 7.

Troubleshooting

Outer material shows signs of dust or light stains

Gently wipe the mesh and synthetic areas with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth.

Shoes feel slightly tight during initial wear

Wear the shoes for short intervals indoors to allow the synthetic materials to conform naturally to your foot shape.

Loss of traction on wet surfaces

Check the rubber outsole for trapped debris or pebbles that may be reducing the ground contact area.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent comfort for all-day wear
Breathable construction prevents overheating
Provides reliable stability and support
Durable outsole offers great traction

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Nike Initiator trainers remain in good condition, follow these care steps:

Cleaning: Remove surface dirt with a soft brush or a damp cloth. Use a mild soap solution for stubborn stains; do not submerge the shoes fully in water.
Drying: Air dry your trainers at room temperature. Avoid placing them near direct heat sources like heaters, as this can warp the materials or degrade the adhesive.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
Compatibility: These shoes fit true to UK size 7. If you plan to wear thick performance socks, ensure you account for the snug fit of the synthetic overlay structure.
