FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
While inspired by 2000s running silhouettes, they are designed for lifestyle use and should not be used for serious running or athletic training.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the materials and glue used in the construction. Clean them by hand using a damp cloth.
Do these shoes come in other colors?
This model is primarily featured in grey colorways, often accented with white details depending on the specific variant.
Are the materials breathable?
Yes, the mesh upper is designed to provide airflow, making them comfortable for warmer days.
How do I choose the correct size?
The Nike V5 Rnr fits true to size. If you are between sizes, refer to your standard Nike sizing or measure your feet at the end of the day.
What is the primary material used?
The upper is a mix of breathable mesh and synthetic leather overlays for a balance of comfort and durability.
Troubleshooting
Creasing on the synthetic leather overlays
Use shoe trees when not wearing to help maintain the structure and minimize permanent creasing.
Visible dirt trapped in the mesh upper
Use a soft brush in a circular motion to lift dirt out from the fabric weave; avoid harsh scrubbing.
Loss of cushioning feel
If the midsole feels compressed, ensure the shoes are being rotated with another pair to allow the foam to decompress fully.
Pros and Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Nike V5 Rnr trainers remain in top condition, follow these simple care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the synthetic leather overlays with a soft, damp cloth. For the mesh areas, use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove surface dirt.
- Avoid Immersion: Never submerge the shoes in water, as this can degrade the adhesives and foam midsole performance.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes at room temperature away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can cause the materials to crack or warp.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place to prevent mildew and maintain the shape of the upper.
- Fit: These trainers run true to size. Ensure you wear appropriate athletic socks to take full advantage of the internal collar padding.
