Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Breaking In: Before your first match, wear the boots for a few short training sessions or around the house. This allows the ADIKNIT sock component and synthetic upper to mold to the unique contours of your foot, maximizing comfort and fit.
- Lacing: Ensure laces are tied firmly but not excessively tight. The ADIKNIT sock provides a secure fit, so over-tightening is rarely necessary and can cause discomfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or have recently experienced rain. Using them on Firm Ground (FG), Artificial Ground (AG), or indoor surfaces is not recommended as it can damage the studs, compromise traction, and void potential warranties.
Care
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, remove excess mud and debris. Use a soft brush or the blunt side of a knife to scrape off larger clumps.
- Washing: Gently wipe down the boots with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Pay attention to the Strikescale fins to keep them free of dirt that could impair grip. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges, which can damage the synthetic material.
- Drying: *Never* machine wash or tumble dry your boots. Stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb internal moisture and help retain their shape. Air dry them at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as excessive heat can cause the synthetic materials to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a breathable boot bag can protect them from dust and minor damage during transport. Regularly inspect the studs for wear and tear, replacing them if necessary (if replaceable studs are present, info needed for this specific model).
