Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Initial Fitting: Ensure the boots fit snugly but comfortably. They should feel like a second skin without excessive pressure points.
- Break-In Period: Wear the boots for a few short sessions (e.g., training drills, light kickabouts) before using them in a full match. This helps the material mold to your foot for optimal comfort and performance.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing techniques to find the most secure and comfortable fit for your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for soft ground (SG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or otherwise soft. They are not recommended for firm ground (FG), artificial grass (AG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the studs and compromise traction.
Care
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after playing, clean off all mud and debris from the upper and especially between the studs. Use a soft brush or cloth and lukewarm water.
- Drying: Do not dry boots in direct sunlight or with artificial heat sources (like radiators), as this can damage the synthetic materials. Stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape, then allow them to air dry at room temperature.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag for protection.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check the studs for wear and tear. Replace any worn or damaged studs if they are removable (Info needed: Confirm if studs are removable). For fixed studs, monitor their condition to ensure optimal grip.
- Follow Care Instructions: Always refer to any specific care labels or instructions provided with your boots.
