Care
To ensure your iMac remains in optimal condition, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning the Display: Use a soft, lint-free cloth (like a microfiber cloth) lightly dampened with water. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, window cleaners, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the screen coating. Never spray liquids directly onto the screen.
- Cleaning the Casing: Wipe the iMac's aluminum casing with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid getting moisture into openings.
- Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation slots at the bottom and back of the iMac are not obstructed to prevent overheating. Keep the iMac in a well-ventilated area.
- Software Updates: Regularly install macOS updates and application updates to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to the latest features.
- Power Management: Use the provided power cable and avoid using damaged cables or adapters. For extended periods of non-use, it's safe to power down the iMac.
