FAQs
What type of playing surface are these boots suitable for?
These adidas Predator League boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches, which are natural grass fields that are typically dry and firm.
What is the Hybridfeel upper?
Hybridfeel is adidas' tactile and flexible synthetic upper material, engineered to provide lightweight comfort, support, and an enhanced feel for the ball due to its all-over 3D texture.
How do the Strikescale fins help with performance?
The Strikescale fins are grippy elements strategically placed on the upper that provide increased purchase on the ball, allowing for greater precision, swerve, and control during shots and passes.
Is the fold-over tongue adjustable?
Yes, the fold-over tongue is designed to cover the laces and provide a clean striking surface. It typically has a strap or elastic to help secure it in place over the laces.
Can these boots be used on artificial grass?
While some players might use them, these boots are optimized for firm natural grass. Using FG boots on artificial grass (AG) may cause excessive wear to the studs and could compromise grip.
Are these boots made with recycled materials?
Yes, these boots are made in part with recycled materials, reflecting adidas' commitment to reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainability.
How should I clean these football boots?
After use, wipe off excess mud and debris with a damp cloth. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources. Avoid using harsh chemicals or machine washing.
Troubleshooting
Boots feel too tight or uncomfortable.
Ensure you have the correct size. The boots may need a brief break-in period. Try wearing them for short periods before a full match. Adjust lacing to relieve pressure points, making sure not to overtighten.
Poor grip or slipping on the pitch.
Verify you are playing on a firm ground (natural grass) surface for which these boots are designed. Ensure the studs are clean and free of caked mud or debris, which can reduce traction.
Laces come undone frequently.
Ensure you are tying a secure knot (e.g., a double knot). Check the laces for wear or damage that might prevent them from holding tautly. The fold-over tongue should help keep laces covered and more secure.

- Optimized for Firm Ground: The specialized outsole offers excellent traction and stability on natural grass.
- Comfortable and Supportive Fit: Hybridfeel material ensures a snug yet comfortable feel throughout the game.
- Sustainable Component: Partially made with recycled materials.
Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Lacing: Loosen the laces sufficiently to easily slide your foot into the boot.
- Foot Placement: Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back.
- Lace Adjustment: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly tight fit across the midfoot.
- Tongue Position: Pull the fold-over tongue down and secure it over the laces, if applicable, using its strap to keep it in place.
- Final Tightness: Tie the laces securely, ensuring the boot feels stable and supportive without restricting circulation.
Compatibility:
- Playing Surface: These boots are designed specifically for Firm Ground (FG) pitches, which are natural grass fields that are dry and firm. Using them on artificial grass (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces may compromise performance and durability.
- Age Group: This model is for kids, available in junior sizing.
Care:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after playing, knock off any excess mud or grass from the studs and upper. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the entire boot. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can be used on the soleplate.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as high heat can cause materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and moisture. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check laces, studs, and seams for wear and tear. Replace laces if frayed, and ensure studs are clean and intact for optimal grip.
