Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces, slide the foot into the boot, and then tighten the laces from bottom to top, ensuring a snug but comfortable fit. Avoid over-tightening, which can restrict circulation.
- Fold-Over Tongue: Once laced, fold the tongue down and secure it in place (often with a hook-and-loop closure or elastic strap underneath) to create a clean striking surface.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This refers to natural grass fields that are generally dry and well-maintained. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor (IC) surfaces is not recommended as it can compromise performance, durability, and potentially cause injury due to improper traction.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: After every game or training session, remove excess mud and dirt from the boots. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the upper and soleplate.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the synthetic materials.
- Air Dry: Always allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources (like radiators or in direct sunlight), as this can cause the synthetic materials to crack or become brittle.
- Stuffing: You can stuff the boots with newspaper or paper towels to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape while drying.
- Product Label: Always refer to the product's internal care label for specific washing and maintenance instructions provided by adidas.
