FAQs
What type of ground are these boots designed for?
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG), which refers to natural grass pitches that are dry and firm. They are not recommended for soft ground or artificial turf.
How do I ensure the best fit?
These boots feature a 'Regular fit'. Ensure you select the correct UK size for kids' footwear. Lace them securely for a snug feel, and allow for a short break-in period for the HybridFeel upper to mold to your foot shape.
What are the Strikescale elements and how do they help?
Strikescale elements are refined textures on the upper designed to provide more purchase on the ball. This increased grip allows for greater precision when striking and passing, and helps generate more swerve on shots.
Can these boots be used on artificial grass?
While it may be possible to use them, these FG boots are not optimized for artificial grass (AG) pitches. Using them on AG could lead to reduced performance, discomfort, and potentially faster wear of the soleplate and studs.
How should I clean and maintain my boots?
After each use, remove mud with a soft brush and wipe the boots clean with a damp cloth. Allow them to air dry naturally, away from direct heat. Proper care helps maintain the integrity of the materials and extends the boots' lifespan.
Are these boots made with sustainable materials?
Yes, these adidas Predator League Tongue FG boots are made in part with recycled materials, reflecting a commitment to reducing environmental impact.
Troubleshooting
Boots feel uncomfortable or too tight.
Ensure you have the correct size. The "Regular fit" design should offer a comfortable experience; some initial break-in may be required for the HybridFeel material to adapt to your foot. Wear them for short periods during light training sessions to facilitate this.
Reduced grip on the pitch.
These boots are specifically designed for firm ground (FG) surfaces. Performance may be compromised on soft ground (SG) or artificial grass (AG). Ensure the soleplate is clean of debris before play.
Ball control not as expected.
Familiarize yourself with the 'Strikescale elements' and 'pronounced touch grooves'. These features require a slight adjustment in technique to fully leverage for precision and control. Ensure laces are tied securely for an integrated fit.
Tongue feels out of place during play.
Ensure the foldover tongue is properly secured with its strap before play. Adjust the lacing to ensure a snug fit around the midfoot, which can help keep the tongue in position.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unboxing: Carefully remove the boots from their packaging.
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely. Ensure the foldover tongue is positioned comfortably over the laces.
- Fitting: Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is snug against the back and your toes have slight room at the front. The "Regular fit" design should accommodate most foot shapes comfortably.
- Securing: Tighten the laces evenly from bottom to top, ensuring a snug fit without being overly restrictive. Fasten the foldover tongue with its strap for an integrated feel.
Compatibility:
- These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches, which are typically natural grass fields that are dry and firm.
- Performance may be compromised on soft ground, wet surfaces, or artificial grass (AG/turf) due to the specialized stud configuration.
Care:
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, remove any mud or debris from the soleplate and upper. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe the entire boot clean. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing with newspaper to help maintain their shape.
- Maintenance: Regularly check laces and studs for wear and tear. While durable, proper care extends the lifespan of your boots.
