Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but not overly tight. The Flyknit collar provides a snug fit around the ankle, so focus on a comfortable fit across the midfoot.
- Break-in Period: Like all high-performance footwear, these boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions before competitive matches to allow the materials to mold to your foot.
Compatibility:
These boots feature a MultiGround (MG) soleplate, making them suitable for use on:
- Natural Grass (Firm Ground - FG): Provides excellent grip on dry, natural grass pitches.
- Artificial Grass (AG): The stud configuration is also designed to perform well on modern artificial turf surfaces, reducing stud pressure and optimizing traction.
*Note: While versatile, always consider specific pitch conditions. Avoid using MG boots on very wet, soft ground or or extremely hard, abrasive surfaces, as this can lead to reduced performance or accelerated wear.*
Care & Maintenance:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), as this can damage the materials. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect studs for wear and tear. Damaged studs can affect performance and increase injury risk.
- Product Label: Always refer to the product label inside the boot for specific care instructions provided by Nike.
