Product Information

Full details

The Abu Garcia Max Pro Casting Combo is designed for anglers seeking exceptional value for all-round lure fishing, particularly with smaller to medium-sized baits targeting EMEA predators. Its key benefit lies in its sensitive and responsive 24T graphite blank, which effectively transfers action to your lure. A potential caveat is that the loud drag sound, while distinctive, might be a preference for some users. This combo features a highly sensitive 24T graphite blank, a comfortable high-density EVA handle, a smooth 8+1 bearing system, a clear drag clicker, and a robust 20Lb max drag.

Troubleshooting

Reel bird's nest (line tangle)

Adjust the spool tension knob and the braking system (e.g., centrifugal or magnetic brakes) on the reel. Ensure proper thumb pressure during casting. Re-spool line if it's old or twisted.

Rod feels unresponsive

Ensure the reel is securely attached to the rod. Check for any damage to the rod guides or blank that might affect sensitivity. Verify you are using appropriate lures for the rod's intended weight range.

Drag is too tight or too loose

Adjust the drag star or lever according to your preference and the size of the fish you are targeting. Ensure the drag clicker is functioning correctly and not hindering drag adjustment.

Difficulty casting smoothly

Practice proper casting technique, focusing on thumb control. Ensure the reel is properly lubricated and free of debris. Check line spooling for evenness.
